Just a
fast update for the start of 2012!
I'm now
riding for KTM Racing, back with my old team and
this weekend I will be
racing in Ipoh, Malaysia. Yesterday I was able to head out to a track close to Penang Island to get setup and ready for the weekend. I was also able to also test out my new Go Pro helmet cam so click on please the link below and you can see my video from riding yesterday.
Hope you
all are having a great start to the year and I will
have an update for you
all after the weekend. Big thanks again to all my sponsors who are still backing me :)
Hi
everyone
Last
weekend I had an event in Tanjung Sauh which is
on the west coast of Malaysia
about 1hr south of Ipoh city. The track was very close to the beach but was not a sand track but was dirt and to make it hard there had been rain for two days before the event so the track was a mud hole but it did not stop the event from still running for all the local people that came out to see the racing.
Moto one:
I had
got a very bad start and was back in 8th but
after two laps I got up into 2nd as
the track was very hard to get around and lots of the riders were crashing.
By lap
four I moved into the lead and had a nice gap
over the 2nd place rider but
that was all to change as I went down in a turn over the back of the track and then had problems trying to start the bike.
When I
got the bike started and was back into the race
I was back in 4th, only half a
lap later I went down hard over the finish line jump trying to push to hard to make up the lost time.
My
hands were covered in mud and there was no way
for me to hold onto the bike,
I took my gloves off as there was no way I could grip the bars. I worked my way back up into 2nd place and finish off there. The bike I rode felt like a ton of mud was on it, I went back to the pits to clean up and get ready for the last race which I would need to win to get the overall win on the day.
Moto two:
I got
another bad start but this time it did not take
me so long to get up into the
lead, once I was in 1st place there was nothing else left to do but to just ride smooth and stay away from any deep mud holes.
After
the 20mins I had two laps left, my final two
laps went smooth and with
no problems taking the win in the race and also getting the over win on the day which was really good.
I am
now in Penang, been doing lots of fitness
training and staying on top of everything.
Next month I have a few events in Thailand and hope there will be some new events coming up in Malaysia.
Thanks
to Planet Marketing for the help over the
weekend and who also sponsored
my a bike to race at the event. Big thanks to all my sponsors also, please see attach photos.
Hi
everyone!
Had a good weekend, I had a race on Saturday the 27th in Selfoss town which is located in the south-western coast of Iceland, 50 km from Reykjavik. The race was more of a fun event to raise money for the Iceland Motocross Team to go to France in September for the Motocross of Nations. Race Day: Moto one: Got the hole shot and was in 1st but by the end of the first lap I must have hit a rock on the track and then the rear tire went flat so after 4 laps I had to end the race and go back to the pits and get ready for the next race. Moto two: Got an okay jump off the start and was in 2nd place, after two laps I went to make a pass into 1st and the lead rider came across my line so I tried to try and miss him or we would both crash. When I went to change my line to not hit each other I caught my front end on a rock/rut and went down, by the time I was up I was dead last. When I got the bike going and joined back into the race I started to catch up and moved my way up into 6th place. I Had a great time even though it was a rough day, starting to pick up some speed on these fast, rough sandy tracks which I'm not so comfortable on. This week I will be doing some riding at a local track and also a one day ride up at Mt Hekla before I fly out on Thursday morning to saudi Arabia. Thanks to all my sponsors: Oakley, Ossur/CTI, Zone5, Celebrity Fitness, SOL Helmets.
Hi
everyone!
Been awhile since I have sent out any updates but I had taken some time off racing but now getting back into it and a good way to kick it off back in Iceland for my third time in three years! The race was the last round of the Iceland motocross championships at a race track called "Bolaalda" (where I placed 2nd in 2010 at the Lex Games) Bolaalda is about 20min drive from the town of Reykjavik. I arrived in Iceland on Aug 15th with not much time to get ready for the racing. I got a bike from a well known rider in Iceland called JoiKef who lent me a 2008 RMz450 Suzuki. Most people know me as always riding a Kawasaki, but with not much time on any bike and not much time to get ready I was happy to just get on any bike and have fun! I spent the first few days riding on the track I will be racing on, so was trying to get setup and in the flow of everything as I'm not use to riding such a fast track with sand and rocks as in Asia all tracks are small, hard packed ground with big jumps. I was starting to get the hang of the track so it was time to get the bike ready for the race and relax as Saturdays racing was coming up in two days. I had a free day before the race so I went with my friend from Iceland who helps me out every time I come over "Atli" to see a glacier. It was lots of fun and a good way to see Iceland as I have never really had much time to check out how great Iceland really is as every time I come I am always riding or racing. Race day: I did not do so well in the lap times which is for your gate pick on the start line. I got the 13th fastest lap time but everyone's lap times were very close. I was having problems finding the fast lines and getting the speed around the turns, the Iceland riders were really flying and I was having problems keeping up and getting the same race lines as what they were taking. Moto one: In the first race I got a great jump out of the gate and shot into the first turn in 1st place but came out in 2nd. For the first lap I stayed up in 2nd but then started to drop back fast as I did not have the lines and speed as the top nine riders, I found myself back in 11th and sat there for the rest of the race fighting the track and the bike. The last few laps I started to get into the flow and found some better lines but by then it was too late and the race was over finding myself to finish in a far back 11th place. Moto two: The last race of the day, I was feeling down after my first moto and felt like I was really having problems with the track as I was not riding how I could and wanted to be up near the top five. I got another good jump off the start and found myself sitting in 5th, I had a really good race banging bars with a few riders. I had better lines but still did not have the speed so I fell back a few places but still felt like I was riding better than the moto one. When the race ended I got a 9th with a 9th overall. My days view: I felt like I was getting better as the day went on, I wish I had more time on the bike to be ready for the racing. Last year I was up in the top three but this year I was just getting into the top ten but I had also forgot that I have not been on the bike for almost 3months and also working is my main focus so I did not feel so bad about my results. I am going to start training allot harder and work on my weak points with corner speed but it is hard with not having these style of tracks in the Asia Pacific. I really would like to say a huge thanks to Iceland Suzuki, JoiKef, Atli and everyone else that had help me out for the racing and my time here in Iceland and I look forward to coming back in 2012! My next event is coming up in a month so this was a good event to get me back into it and to bring some speed into the next event. Big thanks to all my sponsors who support me with my racing around the globe!
Another
update, for my birthday today "May 6th" I have a
great write up in the New
Zealand Herald by "Michael Burgess"
I am still
in Saudi Arabia so it is not much of a fun birthday
:)
Clink the link here below to read it:
Hi
everyone!
Now I'm
over in Saudi Arabia sorry about a late race report
from the weekend and
the reason is I had not much time to get back from Kuala Kangsar, Perak to KLIA Airport to fly here in Saudi Arabia. :)
On May 1st
I raced up in Kuala Kangsar which is 25km north of
Ipoh, Malaysia. The
town was small but the racing was big with all the motocross and enduro classes were full on the start line and even though there was lots of rain over the weekend which made the racing very muddy and hard to get around the track it did not stop the riders from racing and also all the people who came out to see the wet and wild racing.!
I signed
up to race two classes over the weekend, the
Motocross Open and the
1 hour Enduro Open. The weekend was tough with lots of rain which made the nice flowing track into a mud bath!
Motocross
Open - I won all two races but it was not easy, in
both moto's I did not
get the start I wanted instead I had to race from back in 6th place up into the lead in both races. My sponsored Planet Marketing Kawasaki 250f was working great in the mud and thanks to Planet Marketing I had a clean bike ready to race for each race. Enduro Open - The enduro was a 1hour race and from the get go it was a full on race banging bars with an Australian rider "Brett" It was close racing but by around the 35min mark I made my move into the lead and but some space between the both of us winning the race by 2mins. I have to give a huge shout out to Planet Marketing for all the support over the weekend. Not only did they help with the bike but travel to and from the event!
Just want
to send you all another update from after the
Cambodia Motocross
Championships that I won last weekend.
I am now
in KL, Malaysia after having some rest in Penang
Island. After Penang island
I drove back down to KL city but on the way I stopped off in Teluk Intan which is on the west coast of Malaysia just across from Ipoh.
I went
there to do a show for the local motocross club and
also some motocross
coaching for the Malaysia motocross riders. It was lots of fun with a big turn out of riders and people from around the area to watch the riding and coaching. After spending the day doing the show and coaching I drove down to KL city then made a 4 hour drive across to Kemaman which is on the east coast of Malaysia, so I was driving all across Malaysia in just two days cover around 900km! Over in Kemaman I did a one day motocross coaching school for a local family "Farther and two sons" It was lots of fun and had been about 6 months since I was last there for a race that I won, so it was nice to see the track and how the riders are doing. Now back in KL at the KLIA Airport I am waiting for my flight to Saudi Arabia. I will be in Saudi Arabia for about 12 days and will be back in Malaysia on April 18th for another month of racing and coaching. Till then have a great April and will update you all on anything new coming up or going on! :)
Just back
from Cambodia, Phnom Penh where I raced the 2011
Total International
Motocross Championship for the 5th time. Moto 1:
I got a
good jump out of the start gates, got the hole shot
and came out of the first
turn clean. The first lap I was not so smooth making many mistakes in the corners letting the other riders make up time on me but by lap 3 I had found my own grove and was off. I started to pull a gap from 2nd place rider "Bell" from Thailand, the whole race he had me pushing making me work hard for 1st places. By the last lap I was just holding on and almost made a mistake in one of the corners but held the bike up and pushed on to take the win in the first race. Moto 2:
I knew I
just had to get a clean start and from there I
should be able to win the race.
The gate drop and I got another good start coming into the turn in 1st place but as soon as I went to come out of the turn two bikes came across and cleaned me out. I smashed into one of the riders sending me over the bar and hitting the ground hard. I got up thinking "what had just happen" I could not believe what/why and all the hard work I had put into the first race.
I got back
on my bike and found myself in dead last! Thinking
there was no way I could
make up time on such a tight fast supercross track. As I started to ride I put my head down and started to work at it push hard and fast in places on the track that the other riders where not doing.
I started
to catch a few riders and made some passes by the
Malaysian, UK, French
and then a Thailand rider....After that I was running 3rd place but I was burnt out with no energy left in me but luckily it was the last lap. Overall:
After the
promoter worked out the points I found out that I
won the Championship!
Which makes it my 4th time winning and I only won by one point! Now I am back in Malaysia having some time to relax at home before I fly off to Saudi Arabia. My next events will be coming up in May so stay tune and I will keep you up to date! Thanks to all my sponsors and everyone that supports my with out you I don't think I would be where I am at today.
Happy 2011
and what a nice kick start to the year for me with
getting another win at
the south Thailand supercross held on 09-01-2011 in a small town called Trang, Thailand.
Two days
before the event I drove 5hours north from KL,
Malaysia with my friend
Chris across the Thailand boarder then another 2hours to the races track. I had one day of setup and to check out the track. The track was a normal Thailand style tight supercross track and the dirt was very hard. It had been almost two months since my last ride as I was sick for one month and then it took over another month to get back to normal so I was not looking at being the fastest guy on the track.
It was a
one race event so if you had a bad race that was it,
lucky for me I got a good
jump out of the start gate and grabbed the hole shot. From there on out I held the lead all the way to the finish line with a little lead over 2nd place rider.
I was
shock at how I rode, it had been so long since I had
been on the bike and maybe
this was the break I need away from riding to refresh myself. Now I feel really good still i need to get back into the gym more and put in a few months of training to get my fitness back up to where it was at.
I have
three events coming up over the next few months, one
in Thailand another in
Cambodia and then in south Malaysia. So these three events will be my main focus for the next few months. December 11th 2010
Hi everyone!
The past month
has been really bad for me, I got very sick
and was in hospital for a
few days with acute tonsillitis. It has taken over a month for me to get 80% better than what I was and on top of that I had to fly to the Philippines and try race in a International Supercross event in a city called Iloilo, a highly urbanized city in the Philippines, Iloilo City is a 1 hour flight south of Manila and has a population of 418,710. I did try to cancel going to the event but the promoter had already book flights and people were waiting to see me at the event, so I made my way to Iloilo city and I was still too sick to be riding but I wanted to keep everyone happy.
I went out in
the first race but could only do 3 laps as I
was sick all over myself so I
pulled out of the race and went back to the pits to get myself cleaned up and head back to the hotel.
The next day
they had another race so I thought I would
see how I was feeling and try
again, I spent most of the time in the hotel trying to keep cool and drink lots of water. I went to the track and was feeling okay so I thought I would give it another go even | though I knew I would only be able to do a few laps.
I got a good
jump out of the start gate and grabbed the
hole shot, lead the race for
4 laps until I made a mistake over one of the jumps, I got thrown over the bars then landing on my head and knocking myself out. After spending 5min's on the ground with the first aid around me trying to keep me from moving I was able to stand back up and make my way back to the pits.
So the weekend
was not good, I knew I was not even close to
being okay to race but
the promoter was very happy that I still came and also all the 7,000 people that came out to see the race. I have been there three times to race before so it was great to meet all my fans and people I had seen four years ago. Now I am over in Saudi Arabia back at work and still trying to recover from being sick, should be another week and then I can start getting back into the gym. I will have more updates soon again with races that are coming up next month!
Hi everyone
The past 10 days back in Malaysia have been great and very busy, I
had a big race
event on over on the east coast of Malaysia in a place called Kemaman which is about a 4 hour drive east of KL city.
I raced in two classes - Enduro open which was 2 hours long and
another class
Motocross open which was two races of 25mins + 2laps.
I won both classes and it was a great event, I have add below a
write up from a news
paper about the event. I am now about to jump on a flight to Jeddah for three weeks and then will be back in Malaysia for more racing.

Hi everyone
Been a busy month as I had a stunt show and also a race on the same
weekend and
then on top of that I have moved up to Penang Island so was taking a few 4hour drives up north near to the Thailand boarder where my new place is.
Chear Motor had an event on for Givi and also some new bikes that
had come in so I
was asked by Chear to do a super motard stunt show for him and for all the people that came out to see everything that was going on at Chear Motors cycle shop in Klang, Malaysia.
I did one 10min show for all the people on my sponsored KXf 450
Kawasaki. After the
show I stayed around for 1 hour to meet everyone but then got in my truck and drove 4 hours across Malaysia to the east side to race an Enduro cross event held by a small club. The event was two races and was 30mins long, racing through trees and deep mud mogs then out into a tight supercross track where most of the 3,000 people were watching.
In the first race I was leading but by lap four I made a mistake
and hit a tree at high
speed but I was very lucky to get away with it and still be able to get back on my bike to finish in 2nd place.
In the last race I was leading again but by lap three I was passed
then the rest of the
25mins I was in 2nd place till the last lap where I made the pass and was able to take 1st place and also the over all win on the day.
It was a great event and race for myself and my sponsors, also
Chear Motor who
has been a great deal of support to me for the past two years racing in Malaysia.
My next event is coming up on October 30th and 31st, it's a 5hour
drive east of KL city.
I'm really looking forward to this event, it is going to be holding an enduro and also motocross.
Kia Ora,
After my last
update I was racing in China, then after
China I went back to Malaysia
for 24 hours to get ready to jump on a Brunei Airline flight across to Brunei for one day then a 9 hour flight down to Auckland "New Zealand"
I have been home
now for almost one month in my home town "Palmerston
North"
which is a one hour flight south of Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand. I have been having a great time back here catching up with family and friends that I have not seen for over a few years now.
Me and my
brother "Michael Robinson" went on a road
trip up the North Island to stop
by and see some friends and also just see some of New Zealand culture and land marks. We made our way up from Wellington to Taupo for one night then the next day we went all the way up to Auckland where we spent two nights in a nice hotel next to Sky Tower which is 328 meters high, the Sky Tower is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand and people who go to Auckland would always check it out.
While we were in
Auckland on Saturday morning 4th September
we got some
phone calls from friends back in Asia that New Zealand was hit by an earth quake. We turned on the TV and Christchurch "South Island of New Zealand" was hit really bad and people had lost their homes and shops. To see on TV the damage that was done to Christchurch was hard to believe as it is one of the most nice and coolest places to go to and now it looks like it had a huge war going on, the people of Christchurch were very lucky that no one was killed and I hope they all get back on their feet soon.
I am now into my
last week here in New Zealand, on the 15th
of September I will
catch my flight out of Palmerston North up to Auckland then jump on another flight back to Malaysia. Once I am back in Malaysia I will start to get ready for a stunt show that I am doing for Chear Motor and then also have three events coming up in October so I will be busy getting ready for them.
Until then have
a great week stay safe and I will update you
with more news when I'm
back in Malaysia.
Kia Ora,
Now I am in Hong
Kong airport waiting for my flight back to
Malaysia, then I will only
have 24hours in Malaysia to catch a flight to New Zealand for one month holiday with my family and friends.
The event in China
did not go so well, Angus Lai from "Power Sport"
who ask me to
come over and ride for his team had some problems with the promoter. The promoter of the event has his own team "JR racing" racing in the same event and did not want me to race as I would win the race and make his riders not look good so I only did a demo ride. It was still a good event and also good for me to meet new people and to come back again in Sept/Oct to do more racing and coaching.
The event was held
in a small town called "Kun Ming" and there was
so many people
at this event, maybe 30,000 or more! No room to move around and they even had to cancel one of the races because to many people.
I now have about a
month off racing so I am heading back to New
Zealand to spend
some time with my family, been two years since I have been home so I am really looking forward to getting back and catching up with everyone. I am going to be back in Malaysia on Sept 16th, I will still put up some updates about my time in New Zealand and also my training and what I have coming up.
Hope you are all
well, thank you for all the support I am
getting. Big thanks to all my
sponsors also! I have attach some photos also :)
Hi everyone
Sorry the past two weeks
have been very busy and not much time to jump on my
laptop
to send out a update to you all :)
I had my last race in
Iceland on July 24th 2010 at a track called
Solbrekka near
to Iceland's famous "Blue Lagoon" The racing did not go so well for me in the first race I went from leading the race to drop back to 10th place! Myself was not feeling so good and was having many problems with arm pump also my bike was not setup for the track so for the last race "Atli & JoiKef" made some big changes to my bike which help me as I got the hole shot and was leading the race but about 8 laps into the race when I was feeling really good the back half of the frame on the bike snap in half so I had to pull out of the race! So my last race in Iceland did not go so well but the first two races I did in Iceland was great and I was happy with that.
After the last round in
Solbrekka, Iceland on July 27th I got on a flight
back to Malaysia.
As soon as I was back in Malaysia I was back into my training getting ready for a Mt bike race in Putrajaya, Malaysia. I was on a team made up of one rider from Australia and one German rider. Our team was sponsored by BMW with the new BMW Mt bikes which were so great to ride! Our team 'ROBO102.COM" got 7th out of 45 teams which was okay since we started in last place as our first rider was late to the start line as he was on the toilet :)
Now I am in Hong Kong
getting ready to fly out to China tomorrow afternoon
to race
at the last round of their China Motocross Ming" I will be riding a 2010 Kawasaki 250f which is going to be good since that is the bike brand I race on in Asia. The race is on August 7th & 8th so I will update you all when I get near to a wifi cafe.
Thanks for all the
support and everyone who is backing me! Huge thanks
to everyone
in Iceland at Nitro for all the support and everyone else who has help me in some way thanks again!
Hi everyone!
So now I am in Iceland
the now so famous place for the volcano that burst
and was
on the news all across the world.
I got into Iceland on
July 21st and as soon as I got here the first thing
i could see
was it is day light 24 hours 7 days a week! So can go riding when ever you want and do my training. As soon as I was in Iceland I went and got a bike from Nitro who are so great for giving me a good deal and support while I am here with a Kawasaki 450f which is the same bike I ride back in Malaysia.
I spent the rest of the
week getting setup and ready for the coming weekend
event
the "Lex Games" which was held at Bolarda about 15mins out of Reykjavik. Saturday I had one motocross race and a freestyle event. First up was the motocross and it started off with a big bang with me and top rider Gulli #111 going bar to bar in the first turn but as we hit the first jump he went off the track and went down which left the door open for me to make a run away with the lead for the first half of the race, but as the race went on I started to make many mistakes and also alittle tired so another one of the top riders "Aron #66" was able to catch me and make the pass on me which drop me back into 2nd place and that is where I end up over all in the race.
Straight after the race
I had a 10min break and then went over to the
freestyle event
where they had a ramp with about a 80ft gap jump. I went out and did my show and put in a nice run with some tricks and some huge whips to get me a 2nd place overall in that event.
I was very happy with my
weekend, I could of done better in the motocross but
it will
take time to get use to the tracks here and also the cold. I have a week till my next race here again in Iceland so I will be spending the week doing my training and putting in lots of time on my bike.
I will update you after
next weekends race event, I have attach some photos.
Took off on Saturday
5th of June across to Kuala Bera which is about
a three hour drive
east of KL City to a motocross event. When we made it to Kuala Bera we went straight to the track and got things all setup and checked out the track.
The track was new
and had just been built so it was alittle soft
in some places, I only
did one 20min ride on the track on Saturday to get use to the track and then head back into town to get some rest for Sundays racing.
Sunday morning we
all head out to the race track and it was a nice
day but very hot,
had a huge turn out of riders and fans which was great to see.
I had a good two
races, I won both of my races from start to
finish. You really had to be
sure to get the hole shot as the track was very dry from the sun so it was very dusty and hard to see even when you are in 1st place.
After all the races
we head back to KL city to get some dinner and
talk about the
racing. I had a good time and was good to see Kuala Bera, I'm now trying to sort out what I will have coming up in the next month or two. August I will be back in New Zealand for a few weeks to spend time with family and friends. I think my next race will be this weekend coming in Thailand or end of June but I will keep you all up to date on whats to come.
I have attach some
photos from the weekend, hope you all had a good
weekend also.
Had a fun weekend up north in Ipoh racing at the Perak Motocross.
The event was very
good with lots of riders and also a huge crowed came out to see all the weekends racing. I was racing in the the Open MX class, with only just two races on the Sunday and each race being 20mins plus 2 laps. Saturday went well, the track was alittle dry but still okay. The track had some huge jumps to put on a good show. Saturday night got some good rain so the track was going to be alittle wet Saturday morning but good as it will keep the dust down for the racing on Sunday. My racing on Sunday went well, my bike was well setup thanks to Chear Motor and Kawasaki Malaysia. I won both of my races from start to finish, had some close racing on the first two laps but I was feeling good and fit so was able to pull a lead over 2nd place. This weekend on June 6th I have a race in Kuala Bera Kg, Malaysia. I'm looking forward to it as I am getting lots of race time now on my bike and feeling good. I am really happy with my bike and also the job the team is doing for me. Would like to thank all my sponsors and Team Chear Motor for all the help over the weekend. Will update you after next weekends event, till then have a good week ahead! James ROBO Robinson
I'm back in Malaysia
after being up in Thailand for the past four days
but it almost came
close to me not going to Thailand a few days before as I was riding my road bike home and got hit by a truck. I was very lucky to only have a few cuts and just my right foot got twisted.
I spent a few days
resting with ice on my foot then when Thursday came
around I chose
to drive to Thailand and do the racing and see how I go. I got to Thailand "Krabi" on Friday morning and spent Friday doing a warm up ride and test out my bike also see how my foot was going to be.
After Fridays warm up my
foot was not to bad so on Saturday morning I went
out and
did the A open heat race which did not go well for me as I crashed out of the race and did not finish but lucky it was only a heat race. Sunday was the big day, I was feeling good all day and my foot was a little sore but fine to race with.
In the A class I got a
good start and was leading for awhile until I made a
few mistakes
so I drop back to 5th but then got my rhythm back and work my way back up into 2nd. The race was very close and was anyone's race to win but with the track being very tight and hard to pass on it made it a very one line race track.
After getting 2nd in the
A class I had one more race in A open, before the A
open they
had a freestyle show with about 8 riders so I went out and did a two lap show and then it was up to the crowed to cheer for who was the one they like... so after all the cheers I got 1st, I was very happy.
After the freestyle show
we had the A open race so everyone lined up and was
ready to
go, I got a good jump out of the gate and was first into the turn but another rider hit me behind which made me make a mistake in the turn so I came out running in 2nd place so I push hard to get back into 1st and went to take the inside line but what I did not know was that before the race they had put water down on the track on the in side lines of the track so I was sliding all around the turn and drop back five places!
After that I was trying
my best to get back up into the top three but could
only make it
into 4th place and ran out of time and power to do any better, still I was very happy with my riding and racing. I need to get out more on tight supercross style tracks as that is all the Thailand riders race on there.
This week I am just
trying to get my foot back to 100% and then Friday I
will head up to
Ipoh for racing on Saturday and Sunday. I am really looking forward to it as the track is lots of fun and very fast.
I will send out my next
update after next weekends racing, hope you all had
a good
weekend and have a safe week ahead.
Thanks to all my
sponsors!

Malaysian riders and it has been very good getting lots of new riders coming along and also more new groups to start coaching with me in the next few weeks.
This
weekend coming "May 22nd/23rd" I am heading north to
Thailand - Krabi for a
round of the Thailand supercross Championships then the weekend after I will be racing in Malaysia - Ipoh "May 29th/30th" So the next few weeks I am going to be busy with back to back racing. June is also going to start getting busy with some over sea races in Philippines and China.

hope you all have a great
week ahead and thanks to all my sponsors for all the support!
Hi everyone
Everything has been busy
the past month with running my ROBO-MX coaching schools
around parts of Malaysia, the coaching is going really well and the riders are doing great. I have one rider in Port Dickson who is 8 years old that looks like he is going to be racing very soon.
24-04-2010 - I had a race
in Malaysia, Dusun which was held part of some elections
that was going on in Malaysia.
The event was lots of fun
and the track was good as it had a mix of sand and dirt
with
some nice jumps to put on a great show for all the people that came out to see the racing. I won the Open class on my sponsord Chear Motor, KXf450 Kawasaki.
My next event is going to
be in two weeks in Thailand, Trang on 09-05-2010 and
then
in Malaysia, Putrajaya on 16-05-2010.
Thanks for all the
support and also my sponsors, hope you like the photos.
Hi everyone
Just back from racing in
Cambodia at the 2010 Total Cambodian Motocross
Championship. This year I was able to ride much better than last year with all the training I have been putting in over the past few months. I went away winning the event with a 1st in moto one and a 4th in moto two. The first race was more easy than my last race, I got 2nd around the first turn and was able to make a past into 1st by lap three, then ride away with the win.
The last race of the day was
not so good, I got the same start and was pushing to get
into 1st place while trying to make the pass out of a corner into a jump my bike washed out over the jump and I crashed but was able to get back up and make my way from 6th back up into 4th to get the points to still win the over all.
Now I'm back in KL
Malaysia and now getting ready for my next race this
coming
weekend at the Malaysian Motocross Championships 2010 - Round 1 on 6-7 Mac 2010 venue at Sutera Mall, Skudai, Johor.
I will keep you all up to
date after this weekend.
Thanks for all the support
and all my sponsors!

1st November 2009 - Win's Ayer Hitam Motocorss
The last update I sent to you I
was busy with coaching some
Malaysian riders for the up
and coming motocross race in Ayer Hitam. The event was a great weekend for me and Chear Motor with me walking away with 1st place.
The event was huge with allot of
riders and people from all
around Malaysia made their
way out to the Ayer Hitam race track to come see the racing. I was riding my Team Chear Motor KXf450 Kawasaki and the Chear Motor Team did a great job of keeping my bike running and looking good all weekend.
I was really happy with my
riding going with a 1st in race
one then a 2nd and a 3rd in the
last two races to take the overall win for the event. I had a crash in race three but rode smart to get points to make sure I had the overall win.
Now I have some small events
coming up with a race in Bali
and also in Cambodia.
Thank you to all my sponsors and the people who support me every weekend.
25th October 2009 - Robo MX Coaching School - Ayer Hitam
Sorry
it has been awhile since I have sent out an
update on what I have been doing,
have been really busy with coaching and some racing. It was fasting month so the racing was slow for awhile but now picking back up with an event this coming weekend.
Last
weekend I ran one of my ROBO MX coaching schools
down in Ayer Hitam for a
group of Malaysian Kawasaki motocross riders. It went really well and they all had a great time, the riders in Malaysia are picking up some great speed and I hope at some stage they will start racing around the Asia Pacific as they would be able to make it in the top 5 at the Asian Pacific races.
Apart
from coaching I have been keeping up with my
training while there was no racing,
now I have a lot of events coming up in Bali, Malaysia and Thailand.
I will
send out an update after this weekends event,
hope all is well for you and thank
you to all my sponsors and everyone else that supports me.
9th August 2009 - Indonesia Motocross Championships
Just back last night from racing
in Indonesia at round three of the Axioo Motocross
Championship in Indonesia in a small city called Jember. Everything on Saturday went great as I got the 3rd fastest lap time in time qualifier for the racing on Sunday. But then everything started to change on Sunday as the bike I was riding on started to play up and was not running so good.
Moto one - Got a really bad
jump out of the start gate but made some passes in the
first turn which got me into around 12th place. After the first few laps I was in the top five and going really well until I went to go make a pass over the step up jump and the rider in front of me crash so when I went to land off the jump I went straight into him and his bike then I also went down hard. After I got up I found myself almost in last place but rode hard to get myself back into 12th place from 20th.
Moto two - After that really
bad first race I just wanted to put it behind me and just do a
really good last race, I was feeling good and focused. I got a good start was in 7th on the first lap, I started to make some passes and got myself into 4th and started to set myself up for 3rd place but then the bike started to make some really bad sounds... I kept on riding the bike and then when I went to go do the step up jump my chain came off the bike and it just locked up and stopped breaking all the rear wheel. There was nothing I could do but just sit on the side of the track and wait for the race to finish.
Now back in Malaysia I am looking
back on the weekend a little disappointed with
myself but on the other hand I still gave it 100% and could not ask for anything better. The promoter is going to get me a new bike for the next round so I am really looking forward to that. This weekend there is racing in Sepang Motocross track on 16-08-2009 so I am looking forward to that and also my Mum and Dad are going to be here for the next few weeks.
Thanks again to all my sponsors and
everyone that supports me!
19th July 2009 - Indonesia Motocross Championships
I have just came back from racing in
Lombok, the event had nothing to do with the
championship but just a one off event that they have every year. Same as last weekend I was winning the race with 5 laps to go and then my rear shock bolt came out of the bike which made me have to pull out of the race and I could not finish the race. After that the team did lots of work on the bike and got everything fixed up and ready for the last race, I got off to an okay start and was running in 4th place got up into 2nd and then on lap six I went to make a pass for the lead but came into the turn to fast and crashed, but I was still able to keep the bike running so I got up very fast and still finish in 2nd place.
Now I am back in Malaysia getting
ready for the next round of the Indonesia Motocross
Championships in Jakarta on Aug 9th. Before that event in Indonesia I have been ask to do four days of bike stunts for a new movie so I am really looking forward to doing that.
Thanks again to all my sponsors and
everyone for the support, and hope all is well.
12th July 2009 - Indonesia Motocross Championships
Went to Jember, Indonesia for the
second round of the Indonesia motocross
championships. The weekend did not go to well for me as I spent the weekend with bike problems which had me running in 10th in race one and another 10th in race two. I was not so happy with how the bike was running and also the rear brake was not working. I am still running in the top 5 in the championship close behind Thailand and Australia. The next round will be on Aug 9th in Jakarta. |
